Prescribing guidance

For all adults with Type 1 diabetes (T1DM)10

NICE guidelines now support the use of the FreeStyle Libre 3 system (rtCGM11) in all adults aged 18 and over with T1DM.10

Healthcare professional advising patient

If your patient is an adult with Type 2 diabetes (T2D MDI),12  the FreeStyle Libre 2 system might be right for them

NICE guidelines support the use of FreeStyle Libre 2 system in selected adults with type 2 diabetes on MDI.13

 

NICE now recommends HCL

for managing glucose levels in type 1 diabetes16,17,18

This means more Type 1 patients qualify for Hybrid Closed Loop compatible systems like the FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor, which is authrosied to work with the mylife Loop14  system.
