Support Groups
Adjusting to the fact that you or a family member has diabetes can take time and it may be helpful to meet others who can offer support, understanding and help and at an important time.
There are a number of support groups that you can involve yourself with, diabetes related social media websites have forums that you can join to discuss your everyday life with likeminded people trying to get on with daily activities.
Discuss with your healthcare professional if there are any local support groups that you can attend.

Information
The Diabetes Monitoring Forum
Over an 18 months period the Diabetes Monitoring Forum developed a series of glucose monitoring advice leaflets. Each leaflet is tailored to different treatment regimens and provides patients with clear advice about the 'whys' and 'whens' of blood glucose monitoring. The leaflets were developed to help patients monitor their blood glucose appropriately and to use these measurements to improve self-care.
